20 September 18 - Extreme Weather this weekend.

Over the weekend the weather is going to be very windy and for the next couple of days, many parts of the North west will have some extremely strong gusts of wind and way too dangerous to set up bouncy castles outside.

The Met Office has issued a “danger to life” warning with 65mph+ winds forecast.

If you are having a party this weekend and a bouncy castle outside in these powerful, dangerous winds then Don’t do it! Take a look at our Local Venues and go indoors.

We don’t want to “let anyone down” but safety must come first, please don’t go and book with someone else who ignores the risk to peoples safety.

If we feel it is to dangerous we will tell our customers why we are cancelling their bouncy castle and that it is for the safety of their children.

If customers argue with PJ Leisure and insist they have the castle outside, we will tell them that children have been seriously injured in the past, although thankfully not on a regular basis due to many bouncy castle operators being Health & safety aware.

So please if you have a bouncy castle or inflatable booked for this weekend consider trying to get your party booked in a hall instead!

The European Standard en 14960:2013 stipulates a maximum wind speed (including gusts) of 19 – 24 mph when setting up inflatable’s outdoors.
