It was great to see some old and knew friends at swinton football tournament on Barton road Swinton on Sunday.
After being let down by a local bouncy castle company PJ Leisure came to the rescue, providing a giant inflatable slide for there football tournament for the undr 8's. 24 teams took part in a league competition to start with, the top two teams going through to play in the quarter finals.
Every team member received a medal regardless of where there team finished in the league stage and it was great to see the look on some of the kids faces.
Swinton football club is one that i have close feelings for having had two sons who both played for Swinton from the age of six. Chris Tierney deserves special mention having been at the club since 1995, and was Luke my eldest first manager, well done Chris. Chris still manages at the club and is in charge with discipline, good look with that one Chris.
Facilities at the club have vastly improved over the years, with an outstanding club house, great staff and brilliant pitches for all teams from under 7's to vets for both boys and girls.
