Health & Safety is the most important aspect in the inflatable industry and i thought i would answer some of the most frequent asked questions asked to PJ Leisure staff with the answers :-

Buying or Hiring.

There are several easy precautions that can be taken before using a bouncy castle or inflatable, these can avoid many accidents, this is if you are providing or hiring a bouncy castle.

There should always be a PIPA test certificate on all bouncy castles, Your bouncy castle should come with instructions on how to operate safely, you can go https://www.pipa.org.uk to check if your inflatable has a current test certificate.

Before you use your Inflatable.

Always carry out manufactures safety checks, All anchor points to be used, No inflatable should be used when winds are expected to be more than 24mph, make sure your inflatable has no holes or rips and all other equipment is safe such as blower, extension lead and pegs.

Safe use and supervision.

The event organizer should make sure the inflatable is always supervised, you do not exceed the maximum number on the inflatable, safety matts at the entrance and anchor points should be checked throughout the event.
